Are there ant CAT scale apps out there? Perhaps a truck stop app that lists if they have scale? I welcome any advice on how to find a scale without acces to wifi.

Have you tried the Cat website? I have no apps, I have a pre-paid phone, so I couldn't say.

There is Cat scale app, but it kinda sucks. I use truckers path and it has scale info and more listed. Not advertising, just saying that truckers path is a lot better because it contains the scale info, lot size, services ect. Plus it uses google maps as an overlay and will find all the truck stops, scale, walmarts, shops, basically everything you need within a 150 mile radius that you can move around. I have the premium version because I use it daily, but the non-paid for variety works just as well, almost.

This is actually a screen shot of it, all the red dots designate truck stops, the black dots designate scales, the yellow and blues are Wally worlds. That is the satellite photo background, so you can judge the size of lots and roads. The truck stops have individual dot markings, petros come up as a small green P, flying j's are small red s's, loves are L's; you get the gist. You can click on them and it will bring up other drivers reviews of the place and again what services are offered there and around there.

Oh and all the small R's are rest areas, and it includes weight station locations, and other drivers update the weight stations if they're open or closed.
    really useful tool.

just to reiterate; not advertising. Love this app though.

You can go to the CAT Scale website and download the GPS locations and add them to your GPS favorites. Real easy and works

Many GPSs have this in their DBs and can be searched by that alone! I know my Rand510 can do that...Loves, Pilot and TA have apps, they can help too!
