First of all I would like to thank Truckers Report for providing the sample tests. I found this to be the best preparation method I have ever employed. In the past week I have taken the full 30 question Hazmat test at least 25 times. My goal was to cover every possible question, since the test changes randomly. I find that not only the repetition, but taking the test in the actual format employed by the State testing agencies serves to reinforce the acquired information.

I was perfectly at ease taking the test today. There were only a very few questions not found on here, but were close enough to these that I was able to correctly answer them. I scored 93%, missing two questions. One of the wrong answers is on me. It was one of several possible questions that ask "Who is responsible for blah blah, the shipper, driver or carrier." Not surprised I blew it since I stumbled with those on here.

The second incorrect answer was due to incorrect information on here. This is the question:
When a spill occurs of an "RQ" substance the carrier has within_____to report the spill.
    1 week
    2 weeks
    15 days
    60 days
According to this sample test, the correct answer is 15 days. When that question popped up on the actual test, I'm thinking "I got this" but I didn't. The correct answer was 30 days. Not a huge deal in my case, but it could adversely affect someone who was borderline passing already.

Hopefully somebody here could correct this. If not, maybe this post will help somebody else taking the test. And I want to reiterate that I found the practice test very helpful overall and I appreciate the staff of Truckers Report for providing it.

I renewed my hazmat a couple months ago in Georgia. I took the sample test provided on this site. I found the same problem. Some of the answers given on the sample tests thru The truckers Report, did not match the answers on the test at the Ga. DMV. Maybe it's a Georgia thing!

Maybe this test on here is getting a little out of date. I thought about the Georgia thing too, but I thought the Hazmat was on a Federal standard everywhere. Maybe somebody on here will know.

Per both the North Carolina and Pennsylvania CDL manuals (states in which I have had to pass the HAZMAT test), the correct answer is indeed 30 days (Section 9.7.5 in both manuals). I would suggest you send Admin a PM and have him investigate the issue.

    MUSTANGGT Thanks this.
