I recieved my temp cdl, now I have to take the third party driver tests. I have , double trailer, school bus, haz mat, tank vehicle, and passenger endorcments on this tempory permit. Do I have to test drive all these different vehicles, or can i just be tested on a semi, with trailer?
    thanks

You can do it with anything that has air brakes, and a trailer, or atleast that's the way it is here in Texas.

In MI, I believe you can do it all at once.
However, in MN when I took mine, I got my tank, hazmat, doubles, tripples, and passenger all in one shot, but for the school bus endorsement, the test had to be in an actual school bus.

In MI, you also have to test in an actual schoolbus for the schoolbus endorsement.

The doubles/triples, tank, and hazmat are just written test endorsements. You will need to road test in a rig, and should have to road test in a school bus for the school bus and passenger part. Check with your state DMV to be certain.

    Hey Rainbowtawas,

When I received my tip from the SOS they listed all the endorsements that you have on my license, and when I went to apply for my CDL A they removed the bus and passenger endorsement due to the fact that you have to test in a school bus for this and you have to test in a bus or transit equipment to receive these endorsement so it was a waste of my money for these and SOS really don't care because all they want is the money.

If I remember right, the SOS doesn't charge you for the TIP, only the actual license...
