Good Day Everyone! I have been searching the forum for an answer to a question, I have found similar questions but no clear answers. Does anyone know what's involved in changing a U.S. CDL to a Canadian A-Z. Are they equal? Straight exchange or does he have to do written/practical testing over again? Is there a cost?? I have been lurking here on and off, I find a lot of your issues and concerns similar to my husbands' and many of you share the same views on many issues as he does. I get more than a few laughs here too. I won't be around too much ( not much time for the PC ), but I'll be around now n then. Thanks for any help you can offer and Be Safe!
I would call. Toll-free: 1-800-267-8097 I can't find anything specific to CDL but here's the website info for a standard license exchange. https://www.ontario.ca/driving-and-roads/exchange-foreign-drivers-licence
AWESOME! Thanks for the quick reply tiny, I can't believe I didn't find this....so you think this applies to Commercial License as well? Looks like it does.
No, I don't think it applies to a CDL. I did find this link which says you cannot transfer a cdl. http://www.chet.ca/programs/usa-cdl-license-transfer.html
He may have to retest, even i we move to a different state, many times have to retest. I know a friend did just moving over to South Carolina from Georgia
