I was wondering if there was a place to purchase the stick or pole (a nice manufactured one) that is placed between the brake pedal and stering wheel and used to check the rear brake lights? Any one can help me or should I just make my own? Thanks in advance. Chris.
There was a company that specified trucks without the trolley brake for safety reasons, I have driven trucks where the trolley brake had to be held or secured. I used a 12' slip joint pliers for that just wedged against the dash. I have never seen a pole sold to hold the brake pedal down but it could be made easily, or use something you already have. An adjustable window cleaning scrubber squeegee with the long handle might work. You might be able to wedge something down from the seat to the pedal.
I always used the johnson bar to check. But if I was looking for a bar like what the thread starter was looking for I would use a 3/4" dowel rod for sturdiness. Push the pedal down and use your tape measure to find your measurement. Cut rod to desired length.
