Both my partner and myself are class B with clean MVR's and both are reliable and safe drivers. We enjoy driving, seeing new places, and very much need steady reliable income. Our previous drives have been everywhere from Northern Wiconsin, to Utah, to South Florida. We are open to dedicated, regional, OTR, etc.,and have had many offers from expediting companies, but unfortunately, they require their drivers to be out at least 2 weeks at a time. While driving, we would hit it hard, get the job done right, and make money for ourselves and employer. However, due to family....we are in need of a position that would hopefully get us thru our area at some point during the week and at least part of the weekends. With the many apparent needs for drivers who can pass a drug and background check (which we can)....and who actually show up for work (which we do), it just surprises me that we've been unable thus far to find a position such as this. And please note....we are searching for a position to DRIVE....not load and unload trucks, though we have no problem with securing loads, etc. If anyone has any suggestions or knows of any positions, I would appreciate any info and can assure you, any potential employers would not regret hiring us. Thanks!!!

Good luck. Unfortunately most class B jobs are either solo and labor intensive, or team expedite runs that have unpredictable home time. You will have a hard time finding weekly home time as a class B team, may be better to split up and each take a solo local driving job.

You don't want to load and unload trucks and that will restrict you even more. Food service jobs are good paying and many run two person teams, although not both are drivers, however they do require a lot of labor. The hours are brutal, and work environment is tough. you are limited only having a class B license, not many team driving jobs other than expedite for class B.

I like the 2 solo idea. That way if one opportunity dries up for whatever reason, the other partner still has income
