Worked for them in 04' as my first OTR driving gig, actually left FFE orientation 2 days in to it after getting a call from the recruiting dept. Granted this was my first OTR job, so I went in to it blind and expected more, but in all I can't complain. I was paid .28 mile with no exp., I worked on the budweiser account which kept me mainly out of Cartersville, Ga and Williamsburg, Va as well as Jax, Fl. I was home every weekend and ran consistent miles, my dm and I did not get along very well, but again I was new and thought I knew it all, probably would have been a better working relationship if I hadn't have had such a big head on my shoulders. In the last few years though they have cut their driver pay by 10%, and have done away with their bonus programs due to the failing economy, but hopefully with things coming back around, they will put these programs back in place. In all you could do way worse, they're not that bad at all, equipment is decent, automatic, think they're all single bunks now, they had double bunk condos when i was there but we're in the process of phasing them out.

I know its not really much of an answer but I picked up a load at one of their warehouses in FL and they were OK to work with as a shipper...

It was .27 in '04 for new drivers, if you're inexperienced I wouldn't expect much more than .30-.32.

Low pay can be dependent on your miles, if you're getting 3,000 a week .30 cents per mile doesn't hurt as bad as if you're only getting 2,200, Either way you cut it, you're not going to make a great living at CCC, you will do decent and make a paycheck which if you're looking for more of a lifestyle job with weekends off it may be a good fit for you. With your lack of experience I wouldn't expect to gross much more than 700 per week, minus expenses of the road and taxes, 500 or so takehome.
