I'm just wondering why there's so many companies missing from the sub-forums here. Not intending to come off in a complaining tone about it, but there's several large companies I've considered the possibility of going to work for, that I've thought it might be nice to have a place to ask other current drivers with said carrier. Then there's some other companies that are big enough that it just strikes me funny to see no mention of, given some of the few relatively smaller carriers that do have their own spot here.
And yes, of course I have utilized the forums search tool many times to find what I'm looking for. But I just think it would make it easier for more drivers of or interested in certain companies to come together if they had an easy to find spot in the directory. I think often times, somebody comes here looking for Roadrunner for instance, they don't see a Roadrunner board, and they probably just figure there must not be any RR drivers here..and move on.
So to cut to the chase, if I may, here's a few more large enough carriers I would like to see added to the company list:

    Roadrunner - ?Green Bay?, WI
    National Carriers - Liberal, KS
    System Transport - Spokane, WA
    Market Transport - Portland, OR
    A&M Trucking - Glendale, OR
Combined Transport - Central Point, OR
    RLT - Redding, CA
    Hendrickson Trucking - Sacramento, CA
    KKW - Pomona, CA
    Gardner Trucking - Chino, CA
    LW Miller - Logan, UT
Andrus Transportation - St George, UT
Kelle's Transport - Salt Lake City, UT
Doug Andrus Distributing - Idaho Falls, ID
    Navajo/Digby - Denver, CO

That would be just to name a few, though there would still be several more large carriers not listed here. But, I'm sure I wouldn't be the only one who would appreciate seeing the addition of these to the company list, under trucking company dac reports.

PM Steelhorse66 and ask if they can put you in contact with a recruiter from system. They'll send you a contact number.

Oh...no I'm not looking to go to work with them. I'm not a flatbedder. There's actually only a few of those companies I would be interested in working for. The point of the post was just to point out that those mostly large companies have no specific boards of their own, whereas relatively smaller companies like Anderson and Barr-Nunn do.

We've learned that if there isn't already a lot of discussion about a company, adding a forum dedicated to them won't create more discussion. A thread posted in any of the smaller company-specific forums will get much fewer responses than if that exact same thread were created in the "Motor Carrier Questions - The Inside Scoop" forum.

As a general rule, companies need to have 1500+ trucks in order for there to be enough current/past/prospective drivers to keep a company-specific forum active. Even then, a lot of company forums are still less useful than Motor Carrier Questions.

Thank you for taking the time to share your suggestions. If you didn't find the answers you needed about those trucking companies, please start a thread in the Motor Carrier Questions forum and I'm sure our members will be able to help you out.

Most of the companies that at least I suggested, do have well over 1500 drivers, with a few possible exceptions.
However, I'm curious how you could've learned what you claim, without ever actually putting up said forum. Not trying to be smart with you, but asking that as a valid question.
I firmly do believe that more drivers from more companies would speak up if they saw that they have a place to do so, and the other points I made in my op, to also be true. Then again, you can take it from me first hand, I've been thinking about Roadrunner for the longest time, and I believe one of the very few responses I got was something along the lines of "this has already been asked, have you tried searching the boards?"…or maybe that was a response somebody else got, also looking for RR info..I don't remember.
But often at times, when a company catches my interest, I sometimes don't know what I want to ask anybody else about them, or maybe I don't have anything to necessarily ask, but rather, I wanna just hop on here, look at the boards, and see what the latest talk - good/bad is, just to kind of "skim the surface" if you will, without necessarily getting my feet wet.
