First off a little introduction, I am 27 years old I own my 79 Extended Hood W900A KW 60" Flat top, B Model Cat and my fleet of trailers include a 32' Round Bottom Demo End Dump, 32' Single Hopper Belly Dump, 45' Flatbed and a 48' Merrit Cattle pot. I have been an owner operator for 5 years now and am getting tired of running overloaded and over hours to make a living. I am in the process of getting my "X" hazmat tanker combo endorsement just waiting on final paperwork and am seriously considering liquidating most of my equipment and going into the tanker industry. My first thought was crude tankers in the Permian Basin (Carlsbad, Artesia) which is 2 hours from home. Gibson energy is hiring O/Os but 2007+ truck requirement is not really something I want to get into. I have considered going to work as a driver for a crude tanker outfit to learn the ropes and see if it is something I really want to do. Second I see a lot of compressed gas tankers that look like O/O older 379exhd Petes and I am curious if anyone on here is in that industry and can tell me a little about it? Any input is appreciated thanks,
