I've got a line on alot of cheap tri axle 53' flatbeds and I'm wondering is there is a standard axle spread spacing on those where removing the center axle would make it a legal tandem spread?

The standard setup is 10 ft 4 in.

    Some trailers are 8.2

Find the weight and measures chart for your state or states you run. I think 10ft 2in gets you 40k and as your spread goes down in length so does the weight

    8.4 is 38
    9.3 is 39
    10.2 is 40.

    If you're 8.3 or less. 34.

D.Tibbitt, cke and lester Thank this.
