Got an ‘89 W900B and just found a good but used straight cowl L model hood. I’m almost 100% certain this good will work on this truck if I move the cab back about 10”. What I’m not sure of is the radiator width, for a narrower grill, on the L model hood. I know it’s a big job, but I like a truck project. What all is involved and aside from extending air, electrical, steering, shifter linkage, moving steps and fuel tanks?
You can go to your neighborhood Kenworth dealer and ask them to put in an engineering request. It comes with all of the part numbers the engineers say you’ll need. Last I knew it was free. This project while being big is doable.
