Anybody have any feedback on these company's and what would be the better company to start with. I'm new to the industry and have just recently recieved my Cdl and all endorsements. I've been contacted by Conway which seems to be a alright company. I believe Sygma may call me and I've talked with Old Dominion they are hiring in some terminals. Thanks for any help? tannett4731:biggrin_25526:

I know that Conway and Old Dominion are good companies to work for do not know much about Sygma. You are gonna hear good and bad on any company you just need to figure your needs and wants out.

I thought sigma would hire you on a driver helper position especially if you have a cdl. I bet the companies think I'm crazy just like to know what I'm getting myself into before I get there.

Sysco owns sygma now. I know the syscos around here are all teamsters. Youll make at least 50 to 60k starting out and youre strictly local. They dont take rookies though

In't Sygma food delivery like MBM? There is a reason why their turn over rate is so high they run the drivers to death.

Sygma is basically the chain account unit of Sysco. Not all warehouses are union and some will even train someone to get their CDL. Some routes are done team, some solo.
