I am OTR and would like to know from all iPhone users out there, is AT&T ok phone coverage and. Pretty good 3G coverage? My vzw BB gets great phone coverage, pretty #### good 3G coverage, but it needs to reboot once every two days. Such an annoyance. BTW, last time I posted, I was complaining about the tardiness of my trainer. I'm solo now and loving it with Swift. Pays .25/mile. Which is around $4.23 / hour on avg. But it depends on miles per week though. -Zeus
I started out with at&t a few years ago when I was otr, coverage sucked lots of dropped calls but didnt have an Iphone. Had verizon the last 2 years had a bb pearl and never had any problems, smart tethered my phone for a modem and had decent speed on the computer. My buddy has an Iphone and I have the droid, in our town he has no 3g coverage but I do on verizon, my phone is twice as fast as his as far as 3g goes. Doesnt really matter either way, if you're on a national plan you're usually gonna be on a 3g network somewhere. Also with the rebooting thing, every smart phone should be restarted every couple days because it is basically a computer so its just something ya gotta deal with.
Ive had sprint, at&t and now verizon, all over the last 3 yrs, and I tell ya, I have great coverage and great service with verizon. nice to not drop a call just because I crossed state line. lol
VZW is hands down better than At&t for traveling. The only thing that At&t has to offer is the iphone but the Moto-Droid and HTC hero and arguably better and they are on Verizon.
I have Verizon, with the new Casio Brigade ruggedized semi-smart phone. I've found a few more dead spots than normal, but overall I'm very happy with Verizon for 12 yrs.
I've had Verizon for 8 years - great service. AT&T before that... paid the final bill with AT&T in full. Guess what? Every couple of years those jerks try sending a collection agency after me for that final bill I paid in full. Now, when I call home, the GF has AT&T in a big metropolitan area. If she goes through the kitchen, the call drops. AT&T sucks.
I had both AT&T and Nextel at the same time for a few years . I dumped the AT&T, sure Nextel is ancient technology but even it was more reliable traveling than AT&T. Even when the phone said it had service it wouldn't ring when people would call, it was a common problem with everyone I knew that was with AT&T.
