crack oneng block volvo 07 d12

hello every one i have volvo 07 d12 with oil leak at the bottom of the eng there is more then inch long crack on the eng block by the oil pan on oil filter side no perfomance issue for now eng runs well 6.6 mpg loosing oil gal a week any help pls

 

A cracked engine block, is, not going to be fixable.

You can "Hope" that you can get-by adding a gallon of oil per-week, for a time (and maybe you can for a few weeks or months).

Eventually, you will "Need" to replace the engine. Maybe think-plan (wile you have time), where to get a good deal on that repair.

 

any idea what re mnf eng will cost pls tks

for a used engine usually cost $7,000 or $8,000 and think about $2,000 labor for swap. Where are you located?
