The size of TV and how it's secured in your truck depends on the type of truck you have.

i've got a 30" flat screen in my volvo....built a plywood 'wall' to mount it on with support braces/feet to stabilize the 'wall'....fits nice and tight between the mattress and the walls of the sleeper, got an adjustable wall mount and snugged it down tight. springs behind the mount against the wall to cushion the road shock and double nuts and loctite on the mount. works like a charm. tied into the stock volvo antenna cable and gets really good reception most of the time.

Didn't bother with a TV in the truck during my last OTR stint. I suppose I could've bought one, but I figure if I got my money's worth out of it, that would mean I was sitting way too much.
