Hello guys, Today noticed a lot of tiny bubbles in the glass tank, and white smoke in the morning with a cold start then everything goes back to normal but not the bubbles on my 04 Columbia Series 60 14L Detroit diesel. Replaced the fuel filter, and also replaced the glass with another one from another truck but the problem is the same, any help would be appreciated.
put new O rings on top and bottom and be sure to clean the mating surfaces and lube the O rings before installing them. If that doesn't do it you've got air getting in the lines between the fuel tanks and the davco unit.
Hello Opendeckin and thanks for replying, If you are talking about the o rings that come with the new fuel filter I already replaced them, and the glass itself.
Just fixed the problem, check valve on the DAVCO filter was bad, replaced it and there is ZERO bubbles.
Okay I was gonna ask about that, but I actually just had that problem and it fills the bowl up to the top before the filter is actually full and it all drains back to the tank when you break the seal on top. You didn't mention any of those symptoms so I was leaning more towards the O rings not sealing right. Glad you got it figured though.
