"Even modest fudging can add up to hundreds of hours of unlawful driving"

    In a week? A month? A year?

This statement is certainly true but the author needs to be more specific unless he simply doesnt know, in which case he should keep his yapper shut

Funny how the American Trucking Association represents companies that regularly edit and fudge their EOBR and Elogging devices to make their business able to function. They send drivers on loads which, because of their elogging devices, require the driver to run "legal" according to their elog, but they may be exhausted or sick.

Then they accuse the smaller companies of using paper logs of doing the same #### thing.

*sigh* why did I read the comments section? It just raised my blood pressure and I'm not going to register to comment.

Frankly, I really don't want to drive anymore. If the federal government is willing to provide me and my family with,,, oh let's say $50k per annum adjusted for inflation, I'd be more than happy to stay off the road and play Xbox, read books and go hiking.

I could care less if urban hipsters got their Amazon deliveries, their latest clothes or the newest iPhone. Don't even get me started on food, do you know what the spoilage rate is in your average urban supermarket? Just give the dolests their twinkee flavored soylent until they drop dead from premature obesity (caused not from calorie intake but lack of proper exercise, you can't eat like an 19th century farmer and sit in front of a computer all day!)

I'm doing this dumb thing to keep a roof over my head because I'm bloody good at it and I'd rather not spend my days mopping hallways at the old folks home.
But I'm looking forward to telling a lot of people "NO!" Next year, because the last 9 years I've worked a lot of 14 hour days for no real financial benefit and I'd love it if the whole system came crashing down for a few months so the people that hate us can sweat a bit.
