I have a 1995 FLD120 with DDECII Detroit, 18spd, 4.11s, 46 and 14 axles (heavy haul on 24.5s) with just over 1 million miles with no power train repairs at all. asIt is a two owner, two driver truck and is more of a pet than anything else. I like to try to keep it running to find out just how long it might go. Would appreciate some help and advice to get there. I have been getting a reading on my ABS/traction control warning (steady ABS light) with a flashing code in the wheelspin box. It flashes 2, 6 and 11 in sequence. Can anyone tell me what it decodes to??? ABS seems to be fully functional, so I am guessing related to traction control
The 1st digit is the configurations (2=4S/4M) the 6-11 is the fault code which is Left steer sensor circuit failure. Check the wheel speed sensor connections, wiring and the sensor.
you seem to be the guy who knows so maybe you can help me out as well. got wheel spin light blinking; starts with one short then one long then 2&7. scanners aren't showing any ABS codes, even the old timers in the shop are confused. TIA
Wheelspin? Hum. It's not often I spun my FLD 120 which is very close to what you had. And if Im spinning winter is here. I call it normal. So the system complains about a bit of ice.... that is my position anyhow. If you get far enough south to see sunshine and dry pavement with that thing complaining of wheel spin or other flaw, maybe a dealer can take a look at it and spray it down clean it a little bit to see what is really wrong in there.
Is this random, or under certain conditions? The first obvious question is, are you sure that a wheel is not spinning. That light flashes when you lose traction. You will also hear air releasing from modulators as it's trying to transfer power to non spinning wheels. If it happens for no reason, I'd hook it up to a computer and monitor wheel speed as your driving.
