When applying to a company, is it possible to omit any previous driving licenses from the application without them seeing it on DAC? Only reason I ask is because I held a Kansas license, moved to Texas for a year and held a license there (that was a class C, no CMV), them moved back to Kansas and reacquired my Class A here. I just recently put on a motorcycle endorsement, so that reset the issue date. When I lived in Texas, I hadn't worked at any employer there that required running a DAC, so I would have thought that license wouldn't be there. That's the license I figured I could omit from the app, and just put down my current Kansas license. I hadn't done anything significant with it other than drive a car, & it wasn't for long. And besides, when they run an MVR on you, they're only going off of your current DL number, correct? I know HR doesn't dig way down. Thanks for the input!

Any particular reason you wish to omit this license?

Most apps I can recall have had wording to the effect of "list ALL licenses held in the last X years".

That kind of says it all.

I've had licenses in 4 states and 3 countries. I hope they don't all show up on DAC.

The only thing that shows up on DAC is what trucking company's put on DAC. States do not put anything on it at all, ever.
When you apply they will ask you to list all states you held a license in. If you fail to list one, and they find it, you will get fired or not hired due to lying on an application.

i don't think DAC would be a concern. There are other record checks in the normal course of today's deeper background checks that some implement that will probably bear this out but I wouldn't worry about this being a problem for you unless there is some activity on that particular state's DL record.

It's your MVR that any previous licenses will show up on (US licenses, not foreign ones). If you omit one, and your background check shows that license, there'll be some questions raised.

Plus I would think if you listed a previous address in another state for any length of time, but didn't list a license for that state, it might also raise some red flags.

One of the background checks offered by HireRight (DAC) is a search for other licenses. Just list it, as it will pop up, when they check the box for the search.
