Do you do the pull test on slack adjusters every time you get a new trailer?

    Look what some $(&@(#^*(%)@( driver at my company left for me!

    Completely broke from the mount and hanging by bungees!

    If you did not do a good visual inspection at least, you might have been rolling down the road! No air lines were broke and the trailer passed all air tests...

    I reported the condition to dispatch. I hope the prior driver got nothing but fired for doing that!

    I had that happen at Landstar once, exactly the same thing bungee cords and all...

    Bungee cords, duct tape, bailing wire........gets you down the road in an emergency, right ?

    His/her repair got me to a repair shop. But I would not want to roll through a scale or worse if I had not spotted that.

    and due to drivers like that, at our company, we have been issued a warning by DOT and are now targeted at such places.

    if the driver that brought that reported the damage he might be allright but PT's are a lifesaver glad you caught that man

    I would assume he/she did not report it so as not to reduce available driving hours...

    Good luck rolling through the scale with that contraption!

    Personally, I would have went with the duct tape! Plus it cost less than a bungee cord.
