dome light not comming on when door opens

the dome light will not come on (on the roof) when the door is opened but the light on the bottom of the doors come on figured i would ask before i tore in to it ..and yes i flipped the switch on the light in all 3 postions...lol

 

Did you verify that the bulb is good?

 

yes if i flip the switch the other way they come on

 

It doesn't come on when you open the door on my 03,nor did it on the 95 & 87 models i had previous.Just the way they are.

 

same for my 06 and when i had my 2000...only lights on the doors would come on
