I would. Just had to put out $4,200 to replace the catalist because the dpf got clogged. Cleaning the dpf cost me $350.
Yes I talked to many mechanics that work on all the trucks with Dpf and say that if you clean it at 100,000 or up to 150,000 will prevent a lot of problems. There are some other maintenance items also. But very important to get rid of the ash in dpf to prevent the other problems. Because if it starts getting plugged you will start having some performance issues and less fuel economy.
The regen does work well but after 100,000 you still will have ash build up I have one of the motors also and had my share of problems so maintenance has been my key to keeping the truck on the road
