Not to many times that I have had a real fast truck, but do know a few drivers that would hammer down just to get some extra sleep on the other end of the run. Nothing to do with being on time, just getting extra sleep buy cutting back an hour or two buy hauling a?? on long runs. Have some of you done this, and do you think it was worth it at the time. Could some drivers still be doing this with all the new laws. IL hang back and see what some of you have to say. Thanks ! :biggrin_25518:

I usually take power naps while I'm driving; that way I don't need a full 10 hours off at the other end.

    FEELTHEWHEEL and joseph1135 Thank this.

if you hauled swinging meat to the west coast and produce back, you usually had other things on your mind. if you really wanted to get some sleep i would buy a V8 cat, or a cummins kta jon b careful out there
