Started with a new carrier. They use paper logs. Since I’ve never used a paper log, EVER, I could use some training.

Can someone point me to a good resource that explains how to fill them out.

    Thanks in advance.

Don’t overthink it….Log it like you did it….same as eld…
Stop somewhere…draw a line to either on duty/off…before you pull out…draw another line back to drive
ONLY difference is…you are now working in only 15 minute increments….Rule of thumb has always been
More than 7minutes…got to next 1/4 hour
Less than 7 use previous 1/4
Other than that you’ll hafta show at least a full 1/4 hour for pre/post trip…fueling…ckg on at stop..whereas an eld allows for actual time
Don’t be afraid to come back and ask if you have specific questions
    Youll be fine

Pretty simple, just draw a line through the appropriate duty status on the grids. At the bottom directly under the duty status lines draw a line to flag each duty status change, notate the city and state, also what it was for, fuel, unloading, ext... add your hours at the end of the day, if there aren't 24, ya did something wrong!.... fill out every field, if it doesn't pretain to yo put N/A. Don't forget to sign it at the end of the day... I'm sure there's probably youtube videos that can give you a visual of what it should look like.... do they not teach this in truck school anymore?...

Now you have to keep track of your clocks. Double check your addition and subtraction. Easy to make a 1/4 hour mistake.

Download Motive and create a free account. It’s very easy.

YouTube usually has videos on everything. Some are good.
