Ok we were in class today and someone mentioned that if we use ELOG for our logbook and also keep a paper backup, then we are keeping two logbooks which is illegal. But if you just keep it on the Qualcomm and it went down, then the officer ask to see your logbook and you don't have a backup that would be illegal. So I am asking the pros, what is the true legal way to keep ELOGS and have a backup in case it breaks?
I can't tell you how Swift does it...however, at Prime...the logs are available on line for viewing. Now, you need to keep a paper log from the time your QC went down, but the previous 7 days can be faxed over to the Bear if necessary.
