Ahhhh. It all makes sense now. We have a truck driver shortage because of the downward trend of births. I knew there was an explanation for driver shortage.

I never liked Musk, like him even less now.

I'll stop before I get in trouble.

An no, it has nothing to do with his politics. I just find him very off putting and always have. So yall can put down the pitchforks and torches. :p

Like one step from a super villain .

Reminds me of Howard Hughes and that’s not necessarily a good thing.

The reality is that this generation is starting to smarten up some, the government encourages procreation, but there isn't much support after a child is born. Most Americans don't make enough money to take care of themselves, let alone a child. Younger adults have smartened some and realize that having a child is crippling to your wallet, and most likely will derail any ambitions a young adult will have. It is expensive to have kids, and during the reproductive years, folks are still trying to find their way. If one goes to college, they'll graduate at the earliest 23 on average these days. I was 24. It's probably age 30 or later before one gets totally established in this day and age. If they have even 1 child prior, that adult will most likely get set back. At the rate of child support I'm paying for my daughter, it takes around $5500 yearly to take care of a child financially, and that's doing the bare minimum. That doesn't cover other expenses that I pay for outside of child support. So when people think of it deeply, they realize having children in your 20s is a handicap. Really it can be a handicap at any age simply because of the cost. Folks are not seeing any real benefit to it anymore.
