I have been driving for about 14yrs now and want to go back OTR. I am having trouble finding a company that will hire me without putting me in a trainers truck for several weeks. Can anyone help out with finding a respectable flatbed company that I don't have to be with a trainer for a month or more. Any help would be greatly appreciated... Also needing a company that has a rider program and allows 1 pet in the truck.

I haven't been over the road for about 10yrs. Been driving local and some overnighters here and there.

try looking for a small company otherwise you most likely be with a trainer for a few week's,it's more of an insurance deal these day's

It amazes me how LOW THEY GO.I have a friend that has been ''local'' 3 state area running LTL Linehaul and he lost his job on cutbacks. He has 25 years EXP and no OTR Company will hire him because of this Lack of OTR B/S..What a joke. They want him to be put with a ''trainer''...:biggrin_2559:...What a laugh..

This guy can out drive any newbie and rookie and they want to undermine his 25 years EXP..OTR is one big shame, ripping people off and looking for cheap drivers to put up with the BS.

If you can drive a truck,go to a small mom and pops outfit. You will be better off than running for a big bottom feeder outfit.Go haul logs in the mountains of WV.

The funniest part is he'll probably end up with a 6 month "veteran" trainer.:smt043
