I been train to shift a 10 speed during my course of 4 weeks of School. Then I went on the road with a trainer for 7 weeks in a automatic. I finished my 7 weeks and been assigned to a manual 10 speed. I drove the truck home for the weekend and I get back on the road Monday. I question is when going uphill going 65mph (10) gear, do I need to wait till the rpm drop and the speed is at 45 to downshift to 9 gear while going uphill?

Oh, oh, panic in Detroit. Depends on the hill, 45 is a little low if you still have a ways to go uphill. I'd downshift before that, and 9 gear at 50, may hold the rest of the hill. You'll be fine.

So you downshift before you go uphill?

Going uphill you need to downshift when approaching 1100-1200 rpms at least. Keep the motor in the power band.

So when I going uphill going 65 and the rpm drop at 1200 and the speed is declining to 60mph. Do I have to wait till the speed at 45 before I downshift to 9

Not quite, you did years ago with small motors. If your revs are dropping fast, don't wait for the last minute, if you miss that gear, you may have to drop another. You can feel it in the pedal if it's dropping fast.

Have the gear needed to complete the maneuver, be it a long hill, a tight turn. On a hill you may get a ways up but are you proficient to shifting in a quick situation. Stopping on a big hill is dangerous nd can be hard to get going again without destroying the clutch and engine.

I pretty fast with downshifting in floating. I'm not sure if dubble clutch is faster than floating

You want to keep the RPM up. If you know you'll need to drop a gear or 2, do it before the RPM drops too low. Once you pull the stick into neutral, you have no engine power trying to pull you up the hill and your speed is going to start dropping fast.

Never wait until less than 1200. Wind up to 1800 pm hill if needed.
At least one gear lower than used to climb up, and jakes.
