For all the Army Reservists and Guardsmen out there, does being OTR make you miss drills or affect your miles? I am about to hire on to a starter company and all the ones Ive talked to have said they will have no problem getting me close to home so long as they have my schedule in advance. I have a pretty good command who will let me make up drills late or do them early, but really dont want to do that too often if I dont have to. Being a new driver I want to do the best job I can for my company without putting them through too much trouble. Any info you guys can share would be appreciated,
    Thanks.

I did it and yes it can be a pain. Especially if you get a muta 4 where you need to be there friday night. Making up drills can be a pain. When I went to retire they told me I had a bad year, years before. It is hard to do, but can be done.
