freightliner columbia zf 12 speed automatic code 22, sm on dash

i have a freightliner columbia that shows "SM" on shift gear light. i pulled codes using the shifter and got code 22. any help would be great. thanks

 

SM = System malfunction
22= Clutch Actuator

Pull inspection plate on bottom of trans, look and see if the clutch actuator has disengaged the clutch. Mine had the same codes, turned out my throwout bearing came apart and you could see the inner race in front of the throwout bearing.

 

I have one of those transmission columbia 2006 det 14L
