Hey guys i just got done filling out a Pre-Qual form online. I'm truly interested in driving for J.B from back I was a Class B driver. I just found out that Jb hunt has a terminal about 25 Mins away from my house just outside of NE Philly so that's a big plus. I been working for another mega carrier for quite few months already but not too happy there. Now one thing i noticed is that JB is selective about whom they hire so now i'm a little concerned about their extensive background check they conduct. I have no felonies nor misdeameanor, but i had a minor backing incident on my 2nd week in my mentor's truck back in May which i know is definitely on my dac. I'm just afraid to be turned down that's all. I just hope everything works out well, i'm really looking forward being part of the JB Team...
To be honest with u bro, my cousin does body work and i took pic of the trailer i scraped and showed him, he looked and told me is not even $1000 in damage it was just a 15 inch scrape.
Hey Ruckie, i'm interested in doin intermodal. Do JB require TWIC Card for their Intermodal Division??
We don't go into ports but i won't be surprised if they start going into ports.. jb hunt is the Wal-Mart of the trucking industry
I'm about to jump on the bandwagon. I have orientation on the 23rd in ATL. I'm leaving Schneider to start at JB Hunt starting at $0.41CPM with a $1500 sign on bonus. I'd be crazy to say no to that being that I currently am getting paid $0.35CPM at Schneider.
I'm not bashing JB, so don't take this the wrong way. A higher CPM doesn't mean much if you're not getting the miles. If you're running 2500 at .35 and running 1700 at .41, you're not doing yourselves any favors. When I was looking, Heartland offered me .53 a mile. I would have jumped on that like a fat kid on a candy bar. And then I learned I wouldn't be running much over 1500 a week. That's no money. Just remember to really think about making a change because sometimes you end up kicking yourself. Be safe guys.
