So after 4 years of being away from driving, i have been applying at a few companies. I got my CDL back in 2007 from the "Swift academy" and drove for them for a few months before a family illness came up and had to be at home, so had to take a 9 - 5 warehouse job, but now that it's going out of business, been thinking bout getting back on the road. So far, Applied at Stevens, Watkins & Shepherd and Central Refrigerated...Got offers from W/S and Central.

Been researching a lot of the companies, reading hours of posts which have been very enlightening and helpful, so thanks to everyone who puts in their two cents, good and bad, praise and whiners, it all helps some of us newbies get an idea of what a company is like, which there is no perfect company, even working ANY job.

I will be updating as the days and weeks happen, see what unfolds and hopefully get to know some of you. If anyone has some suggestions on companies, much appreciated....basically my background is 4 months of OTR, some doing heavy haul here in the northwest, did some straight truck for a short time and been the resident yard hostler at the company i work at since i am the only one with a class A, and so refresher courses is the general consensus on getting back behind the wheel which i don't have any problems with that. So we'll see what Happens.

Yeah it's state, south of Seattle near the mountain, and told my boss i would be here at least till the first of December, i'm the supervisor and we have lost all our forklift people, so im running the forklift, and haven't said yes yet cause i am seeing all my options first, not jumping in with the first offer.
