    Hey everyone,

I’ve been out of trucking for almost 10 years, but I still have my Class A. With how things are going right now, I’m looking to get back into it. I just don’t really know where to start.

A little about what I’m looking for:
    • I’m based in northern Indiana
    • Prefer to stick with dry van work
    • I don’t want to run east of Ohio (never again near NY, lol)
    • I’d rather head west or south — not big on California, but that’s not as big of a deal as avoiding the Northeast
It’s been a while since I’ve been on the road, so I know things have probably changed a lot. What’s the best way to start looking for companies that fit those preferences? Any recommendations for carriers, job boards, or maybe regional gigs that make sense for my area?

Appreciate any advice or pointers — thanks in advance!

You're the 2nd driver this week with 10 yrs. out of trucking and getting back in the game.

You'll need a refresher course first. Nothing to that. The other guy said his refresher course instructor said it's like he never left trucking.

    Schneider
Schneider offers a great option for CDL license holders who want to restart their careers. The company has partnered with some of the country’s leading trucker schools to provide you with free training.

    The catch?

You need to complete a Class A CDL refresher course.

The course will provide applicants with a driving position once a person has graduated. Courses last for just three days, and the only requirement is that the applicant has a valid Class A CDL license.
