Getting low balled by Trimac

    Just wondering if anyone thinks .40 cpm loaded and empty is typical for tank work. Trimac is offering a dedicated regional position for this amount out of Chicago. I honestly think that's not a good figure for hauling hazmat chemicals and being away for several nights a week. 2500 miles a week at .40cpm is no better than Jb Hunt Intermodal IMHO. What do you guys think?

    Thats low for tank work and very low for Trimac and ludicrously low for hauling hazmat.Schneider bulk pays more than that and I see ads for food grade paying that or more. Is there alot of accessory pay? Trimac has ads for .55 cpm in my area. Hard to imagine that they think they'll get good drivers for that pay, especially in Chicago.

    I didn't bother to ask about accessory pay once they said the max potential was 60k and lowest was 50k. Those ads for .55cpm is for those trying to get on with their "elite" fleet which has a lengthy mandatory time away from home policy. Apparently those making .40cpm is apart of the their " scrub" fleet. I may not have tank experience but I do have plenty of driving experience in general to warrant more than what I can make at another common carrier pulling dry vans.

    I only made .36 cpm hauling hazmat tanker OTR, but make $65K per year due to accessorial pays.

    A&R Transport drivers average $65K.

    Bulkmatic about the same.

    I'm surprised with that cpm.
    There are many tanker companies up here and i figured they had to be close in pay and benefits to attract drivers.
    I'm on percentage but average above 50 cpm.

    I here ya slim. Foodliner is offering between the same range but I believe at least they have a guaranteed minimum of 1000 to 1200 per week from what I here depending on the season

    You should be paid 70+ cpm
    .
    Dry van pays 55 nowadays , and they drive more miles at higher speeds with no washes, maybe shorter unload times also

    Its to deep in here for me, kind of smells funny too. 1200.00 a week for local is not bad.
