Would any experienced drivers say that it is more or less common to get pulled over by police in a truck than in a 4 wheeler? If so, why?
Pulling a car he needs a probable cause..... Pulling a rig over.... he just needs to say "random inspection"
Depends on the state. You go to Ohio I have seen more trks then cars get pulled over because they hate trks. But over all I would say less common for trk getting pulled over.My route I see cars every day getting pulled over and not so much trks.
19 years driving a car, pulled over maybe a dozen times. 5½ years driving a truck, pulled over easily 2½ dozen times. And that's not counting how many times I've had to go into scales.
Most LEO's will tell you that pulling a truck over is a lot safer than pulling a car.. If they are getting junk off the road I am all for it... But just like trucking there are a few rogue cops who dislike truckers and they target trucks to prove a point... No Biggie if you have your ducks in a row... I have been pulled and told "random" on many occasions which I cleared with no issue's... I always treat them with respect, I never argue and if they are wrong I let a someone who has the ability to argue it in a courtroom do so.. Not all cops are bad people.... And think about it if you were a cop and you had the choice who would you pull over when it comes to your safety????
Not an attorney, but he's not far off. Probable cause for a semi is a lot different than probable cause for a 4 wheeler.
Nothing they do a driver road side inspection. My route is noR cal-colorado I do 6 trips a month, meaning I'm in Nevada 12x back and fourth. I've never been pulled over anywhere else just nv
