Hello, I need some advice i am overseas in Germany and i want to change my life and turn it 180°

I am a native German speaker but English / American is ok at the moment i work for a Company that sell American Car Parts in Germany. I did look a bit around and think a good start in the States could be Truck Driving.
Got no Criminal History at all, Dept Free, holder of a German Drivers License Car / Bike
I am interested in a Company who hire rookies whit free CDL Training and if possible whit sign on bonus to get my life going in the US

Would like too work in Alaska or other niche Truck Driving whit high salary
Home time is nothing i am looking for now, Social Security is something iam interested in but i dont know what really matters as i did never live in the US
I am holder of a US passport

@Chinatown what would you do in my case ??
Others leave your opinion too ofc.

    Greetings Testa

That's a good plan and there's plenty of those high paying jobs here.
Maybe @The Kraut is an immigrant, not sure. if so he can give you advice.
Plenty of companies will hire you for their cdl training if you can legally work in the USA.
40 quarters of work history qualifies you for Social Security.
Hope you can come here. I'm half German. Several German immigrants on this forum that are successful truckers.
I'm assuming you're a German citizen; is that correct?

First thing, everybody wants free, when in reality there is no free anything in this world, it just doesn't work that way.
There are companies that will school you, train you and help you get your cdl. These are paid in a variety of ways, probably the cheapest is cash, right straight out of your pocket, but several companies will front you the cash IF you sign a contract to work for them a certain period of time. During that time period the pay is less, so that they recoupe the cost of what you would normally be charged for schoolinbg.

As far as getting a license and jumping in on high paying Alaska jobs. Good luck, there are some that don't require a lot of experience, but most will require at least 2 years, and even at that they prefer log truck drivers or other mountain type experience.

@tarmac I agree "Free CDL" isn't free i already got that there a strings attached too it.
But in my situation i think i have 3 chooses :
    1. Pay it my self, 2. Use a Driving School 3. Over a Company what send me to CDL Training.
In my case i think it would be the best to go whit a company because often they pay a little while i am in CDL training. thats what i did read on the internet. I know many Company s won't hire a rookie in High Paying Niche positions but i take my chance. I still think this would be the best start for my new Life in the US.

@Chinatown No sir i am a US citizen whit passport of the US i am a immigrant in Germany.
What Driving School or Company would you send me too. I have no Savings so i would need Housing / Meal / and a little cash at Fridays. Full Time CDL Training is what i am after. Mo-Sa / 8:00am — 6:00pm Still, i would like to know how you would do it @Chinatown @starmac What Company / Driving School you would go too what would you look for what should i be aware of I ask you guys too make good decisions.

I dont like it hot states like Texas and Florida those are no gos for me i can't stand it, colder States are my thing.

I wish you luck. What ever you decide make sure you learn on a manual and do not get a manual restriction!!!Also study for all the endorsements you could possibly want and get them All as it leaves your options open. Don’t be quick to make horizontal moves. Don’t be hopping to a new bad company every 3-4 months. Serve a little time get some experience and stay away from the megas

Manual is the Standard in Germany so Driving Stick is no big deal for me.

Could i do my Class A CDL in Alaska is there some offers like the 4 you postet ?

Should i apply to all of em and see who pick me up or should i do one by one ?

Montana sounds good :D remind me one the move "The Hunt for Red October"
