Going to Manhattan, how togo to southern part

    I always went 278 thru statem isla
    i always went thru Staten Island on 278 and crossed the manhatan bridge to south manhattan

    When you come across manhattan bridge turn left on canal it's the first left. to 9 th it's very easy without going all the way thru manhattan

    Well.first the load went north of Albany. Then they said it's for NYC, which im a bit scared of. But I decided to try it just to see.

    It's been years since I ran up there tolls were the same going in.yes you go thru Brooklyn but your on 278 no lights.going out the same way is higher tho verazono bride is free going in but it used to be 40 going out probably lot more now.In manhattan if you leave and go north on 1st ave.over Willis bridge it will take you to the Bronx then you can go across GW free.Good luck

    Vzw is same as gw, but outbound vs inbound.
    Goethals is same as gw inbound. Manhattan bridge has DOT cops on it at weird times of the day and nite. And the ride across 278.... I don't recall a time ever that it would be "faster" than the 25 mph steady down Broadway gets you there. Red lights almost all run that you can get them all green cruising along at that speed. No slower. No faster.

    Welcome to go how you want OP. If you were shorter I'd say take the tunnel out and save all the headache. But at 13'2....you'd have a hell of a headache smashed into the tunnel ceiling
