Good way to get to long island city ?

I'm going here with a step deck and a mid roof. I want to do Tapen Zee down. What is the best way to here. Is 278 to Astoria Blvd to Vernon Blvd ok?

Where are you coming from?

 

You can come in on 278 over the tri Boro bridge take 278 to 25A west. follow 25a to 44th dr make a right. Then make a right on Vernon. It would avoid some surface streets and turning. I used to deliver bagged sand and gravel to Extech, it’s been a few years I was coming from out East on the island. I want to say the unloaded me on that 9th street, so just a heads up. Earlier the better, they used to start receiving around 5/6am and were pretty fast about it.

 

I got done being loaded at 230 pm. I won't be there till 10 am I would guess. Plus my Jake quit for a while on 80....

 

95 north- GW Bridge- 295 south- 495/LIE eastbound to Long Island.

 

I did tappen to 95 to JFK bridge to 25a to 44th Dr?? To Vernon to 9th. Opposite back out.

 

87 south of tappen zee it said it was a pkwy. I don't know if it was both and then split but i didn't take it. So I went to 95.

 

You can take 87 straight down off the tappan zee.
