Gyms at truck stops, do they have them?

There’s a swift guy who goes to my gym everyday. He’s bobtail. Must have a dedicated out and back. But he’s obviously OTR but dedicated.

So dedicated for OTR drivers is probably the best solution. Especially if you can drop your trailer at the terminal then bobtail over workout and get a free shower. Then go to the Truckstop or terminal and crash out.

From my experience they don't. I've got 300lbs in free weights, ez bar, bench, etc. It would be nice, but most drivers don't care about their health as much as they do eating.

My best suggestion for you personally is looking into camping gear, I'm going to be investing into like a 20 gallon tank for water and getting a portable shower. Alot of camping or "overlander" gear works perfectly for us in our rigs.

This has always been my issue with OTR full time in past and in my younger days returned to being a City local driver. I use to be a competitive Bodybuilder and still train. Bringing weights in the bunk would be overbearing and unrealistic in order of me establishing a true good workout because I lift heavier weights. 3 days a week I would need to go too a gym. Some suggested online to establish Planet Fitness membership because it's a afford with a lot of locations right through North America.

I guess that depends on how one defines “heavy”.

Actually I haven't joined Planet fitness as of yet because my one visit there they had stipulations regarding not dropping the weights, nor don't they cater to Bodybuilders etc.. I bench 320 lbs for reps, deadlift 450 lbs 12 reps and squat 505 lbs for 8 reps etc.. I guess that might not be considered heavy for some for me it's reasonably heavy enough for me to establish good workouts. I actually go to LA Fitness right now because they're located almost everywhere and have dumbbells that are at least 125 lbs. I guess since Planet Fitness only has dumbbells that max out at 75 lbs then in would have to just change up the workouts to more barbell training exercises.

    So they say...

They cater to candyarses. If you're serious about your workouts, and go in focused, you will intimidate the candies and thy will lunk alarm you and the management will ban you.
Heavy is when whatever weight you're lifting, if you dropped it, it would have a really good chance of killing you.

Most of the Schneider terminals have a fitness room (they did some years ago, at least). Usually a universal weight machine, some dumbbells, maybe a treadmill and/or exercise bike. I would imagine this sort of thing is common at most mega terminals. Probably not what you had in mind and definitely not incentive enough to put up with mega company baloney.
