My company sent me and my trainer to Tennesse all the way to Los Angeles. LA deliveries were hard to get through these ally way streets. I was cut off by a car and i didnt make the turn wide enough( trust me i went the widest you can without hitting other cars) and I hit a traffic light.

Im not a bad driver, just in a ####ty situations.. Im in Southwest of Texas, what companies out there that hire regional?

Your trainer should have taught you rule #1. Patience.

What you should have done was sat at that light as many cycles as it took until you either had a big enough gap in traffic to take the oncoming lanes to get the turn or somebody held back for you.

If you weren't at a light you still have to sit and wait till you can take the whole of the oncoming lane to make the turn onto the side street if needed.

That's a hard lesson learned the hard way. But you know that now, right?

The trainer is more at fault here than you in my opinion as a former trainer. He was in charge of you and the truck and should have offered guidance in how to successfully complete the maneuver.

    Was it western express?

    Good luck to you.

Sorry to hear your plight. But I can assure that you are lucky you did not come up here to New England. If you think LA streets are tight, you ain't seen nothing yet.

I cannot really make too much of a comment on the particular street you were on, or how you went about it, as I was not there. But I right now, do not know how you hit that light. Was it the front of your truck, or the trailer that hit it?

Well in any event, taking your time, taking as much space as you need are just 2 of the things that we all have to do. I know that maybe you didn't not want to block traffic, but hey, screw'em too, you have to do your job.

I do not know of any companies in Texas that can benefit from you right now, as you have on your record an accident.

Just do some pounding of the pavement yourself as well.

    Best of luck to you.
