I saw a video on these things automatically following your trailer when you blind side.

I would love to retrofit them to my 2016 Pete.

How hard is it to push that little button on the door panel to move the mirror?

that works great for the first 10 degrees. But what about the other 75 degrees?

The new 579 has the same option with the monitors on the A pillars.

20 years ago I used to work at a place that everyday I must have blindsided easily 15 trailers 20 trailers into their spot.

They were Freightliner Century trucks, and they were Volvo vnl trucks, but every one of them had no problem rotating the mirror far enough for me to see what I was doing.

Rideandrepair, cke and D.Tibbitt Thank this.

I'm in a 579 and have to get up and look out the passenger window.

What is this magic button you speak of? My trucks have no such button. Lol

That's why they made the cab narrow, so you could open the passenger door from the driver's seat and aim the mirror where needed!

That is pretty cool, as long as it works. Probably take some getting used to though.

I do that sometimes too. I pull the trolley brake, stand up and look out.
