New to the forums and wanted to say hello to introduce myself. I am a 23 y/o male from the metro Detroit area. I come from a family of truck drivers. My grandfather retired from Road-Way after 25 years. My father drove OTR for companies like White Line and Simpson, before going local for the post office. I spent the summers as a small kid driving over the road with my father and loved every minute of it. Most of my toys were truck related (truck legos, mathcbox "semis" semi tonka trucks). After finaly getting my stuff together and getting my license straightened out i finally am getting into the industry. While I have spent the last 3 years with my wife havent slept more than a night alone from her, as well as now having our first born (now 2 months old), I believe i will be able to deal with the seperation via new technology (ie wireless internet, webcams, cell phones). I am excited for my new career and hope that I can finally provide for my family the way i feel i should. I want to thank the people who started this community and the people who keep it going. I've only been browsing through a few hours and already have found SO much information, which has helped me greatly. I look forward to getting out there and hope to meet so good people along the way.
