right now best advice if it were me? start immediately emailing some of the transportation businesses in Australia.
tell them who you are, exp level, what have hauled and how. explain may be applying for work visa.
probably if you are available to go just before the busy season for say construction, should be able to find a taker.
get a signed letter with actual offer, position, wages and hours. they will want to know you have permission to work there before bonafide offer is made most likely. a few email responses and you should start getting a more clear picture of what demand there is, what they will require,...etc..
make follow up calls to everyone that responds with anything positive. people know each other in this field, if they like you someone will come up with something eventually that fits the bill for yah

ps: suggest spellcheck your emails, try for no misspellings in your responses

    twolane Thanks this.

very "gute" on the brief casual convo? to OP I went after the translate almost immediate, then understood and its a no brainer obviously on a job search, no matter where you intend to work
its normally who you know as much as what you know, and have to put yourself out there to gain the inside info for that.....
