had oil cooler rebuilt. about 2 weeks later my water temp goes up about 10 degrees higher than normal. notice truck is running hotter , but not over heating, cause I'm using the manual fan about 40 % of the time. drained some coolant out, put it in a clear qt container & it looks a weird green color. look at it a few days later & on the bottom of jug there is what looks like oil. could the shop not have rebuilt the oil cooler correctly ? never had this until the rebuild, or could be coincidence?

Was oil in the coolant the reason for rebuild?
If so,are you sure it was flushed completely

Water is heavier than oil so it shouldn't be that...

Must not be a factory oil cooler. Or one big enough to do the job.

The other posters have covered the other thoughts I had.

no actually was getting coolant in oil, so this rebuild was to hopefully solve that,as pressure test showed no leaks.

I would of thought oil would be heavier.

Ever see a oil spill on TV, the oil floats on the ocean.

Fuel and oil both are lighter than coolant. When oil and coolant mix it makes a milky sludge. My thought was maybe the sludge built up at a restriction. But that's not the case. Anyway to post a pic?
