    Hey,

The Verizon Mifi just had a firmware update. To install the update, you need to connect your mifi to your computer via a usb, problem is when I connect it my computer won't install the drivers as it says I 'need a CD' when the MIFI does not have one.

I have to update the firmware because if you don't Verizon logs you off every 5 minutes.

Any suggestions on this? There customer service is useless.

I have the Verizon MiFi 4G 4510L. Computer is a Dell laptop with Windows Vista.

They usually put the drivers in a memory card mounted and hidden inside the device. When you plug it in, Windows is supposed to pull the drivers out of the usb drive that gets mounted when you plug it in. Don't know if that info helps, but I'm pretty sure that's what's supposed to happen.

I got the answer over at evdoforums. If you ever need help with that sort of thing, that's the place to go.

Vista is the big issue with a lot of software updates.
