What is the difference between these two? I have noticed for example,Millis pays a 2 cent difference between these two. Thanks
HHG, (Household goods) is the old way of paying. Moving companies figured distances from a to b, using the most direct route. Then, trucking companies started using computer software to calculate miles. This computer software is to the advantage of the company. Rarely, a driver will actually get paid real miles. El Paso to Tucson, for instance. Well, there's only one way to go. I-10 all the way. Not sure what you mean by Millis paying 2 cents difference.
Hey Allow Me, Millis has the Non-Per Deim & Per-Deim. Well on their Non-Per Deim they have 2 pay tables . One is HHG ROUTE & the other is Practicle Route. The HHG ROUTE pays 2cents more than the Practicle Route.
OK, I see what they're doing. HHG is less miles, so they make it up with more pay. Kind of odd if you ask me.
You won't get rich either way. The company I am leased to pays practical miles. I will alot of times if the schedule allows it, take the shorter route.
Practical miles are what are going to be closer to the actual driving. I am paid by practical no matter what route I take.
Sadly, they both stink in my opinion. I just don't understand why you and others don't want to be paid for the actual miles you drive? You drove them, get paid for them. Another black eye for the industry. You need to find a company that pays for all of your time. Don't settle for less and work for free. Good luck. Drive safe
