The job I just started seemed nice on paper, but during training I realized that the trucks have lots of problems (missing lights, mirrors, etc.) they do it encorsete you to pre trip bc it takes too much time, and the equipment is unsafe (I found out about 2 people who have been handicapped there).

Just finished my first day, but I cannot see myself here. How do I go about quitting after first day?

Be a man, tell them why and quit. I would do verbal and on paper so you have proof at your next company if the current one trashes your name.

Just tell them the truth, you appreciate the opportunity but you feel the equipment is unsafe so you won't be able to continue to work there.... or just ghost 'em, it seems to be the norm anymore.

I wasn't actually serious about that part, but it does seem to be the trend for sure.

Tell them in person, I was being sarcastic about the ghosting because so many people seem to be doing it nowadays, but personally, it isn't right.
