I am reading a lot of detailed topics but haven't found anything that states how long the classes are per day. 8 hours, 12 hours?

I think it varies somewhere betwern those two numbers based on how well everyone completes the days tasks. Does it matter? When you get out in a truck your days will be 14hrs and if you cant hack that then Mavericks not the place for you.

Be ready for 12, then you'll think you got out early

It all depends on the company. I've been in an orientation that was 12 hour days for the first two days, then 8 hours the last day or two. I've been in an orientation that was 3 days @ 8 hours each day. It really depends on class size and how much gets done each day. If some things don't get done one day, it has to get done the next day which may push other things back a day.

Some of it is how organized and efficient the orientation process is. Some of it is how many stories your fellow drivers decide to share during class. Even when the instructor says "No stories, please." There's always one or two that have to open their trap and tell one every hour.

I can work for 20 hours without a problem, but sitting in a classroom looking alert for a long time is challenging.

You and everybody else in the orientation. Just remember how to spell your name and don't confuse your phone number with your SS.. And of course don't fixate on large shiny objects :biggrin_2554: You will do fine

I found the classes went by quickly and they are very well organized and controlled.

Maverick's standard response will be "as long as it takes" when asked how long something will take.
