Called in for level II inspection. Founded kinked service brake hose, placed OOS until repaired. Also wrote on inspection about tinted windows but not on citation. Citation was $187. Happen in MO on 55. Wondering how many points this is worth.

Should be around 30 points or so. They multiply it by 3. I think that kinked hose is 7+2 for the OOS x3 would give you 28. If the tinted windows shows up count on 30 points. Sad thing is according to DOT's manual that they have for cvsa inspections your truck was still legal. If you only had 1 brake and not 2 that were inoperable the way their book states it that truck could've been let go. Finding an officer kind enough to let you go is another story though.

It's amazing when you think about it. The line needed replaced, but wasn't about to fail. It also didn't meet the criteria on the ticket, "Compressed to 1/8 th inch or less." Yet you see trucks rolling down the road leaning big time, fenders flapping, big cracks across the windshield, etc.

Lol thanks no wonder they refused application to Harvard. They said I needed to take the SAT...I sat on a chair for about 8 hours and they didn't call me back. Guess I didn't sit there long enough. Oh well now I just sit in the truck and listen to me and I argue while myself plays referee. Not a bad life lol

Eh its just one of those things driver. Just have to pay the fine get it fixed and hit the road. I've seen a lot of junk get the bypass but I get pulled in and actually weighed while Bob tailing. And it could always be worse. As I have said I've seen the book the officers use. They have pictures and what not for visual aids. And in the frame section they have a truck that actually has both frame rails buckled behind the sleeper. You got caught for something that was questionable. Think about how stupid the guy had to be to roll through a scale with a buckled frame...better yet think of how stupid he had to be to even drive the son of a gun.
