    hi guys

please check the attachment so you get an idea of what i am talking about. Also there is a switch on the side of the gear lever. Is that called the range or the splitter?? what the difference between the two?? so this is a 16 speed gearbox..so how to go from 8 onwards??

    Please reply

    thanks

You've got it right. The switch on the side is for the high range. When you get to eighth gear and need to pick up the next you flip the switch to the H side and go into the first gear position and repeat the pattern.

It's similar to the 10, 13, 15, and 18 speeds in North America.

I think it is the same gaerbox as teh mercedes and man. It is an 2 H. First you begin at 1low, 1high, 2low, 2 high and so on to the 4e gear. Than you have to push the gear stick to the right and you have to begin by 1low to 4high. I think it is an zf gearbox

Most of the trucks here in Europe have an tiptronic or an automatic gearbox
